Finding Emmanuel Grimshaw was not a problem for Tallin Undine. However convincing Emmanuel to return home was another matter. The debate ended when three werewolves sent by Emmanuel’s enemy attacked. The fight to the death activated the inner beast’s passion resulting in a renewal of the mating bond between Emmanuel and Tallin formed year ago. Except now the bond is stronger as well as indestructible.

Run To Ground is an exhilarating dark fantasy filled with jealousy, prejudice, intense combat, heartwarming emotions, as well as almost vicious lovemaking. The plot illustrates clan hierarchy. The characters are convincing. Emmanuel was born a werewolf; though he is not content to live as a savage catering to the will of his beast. Absence from the clan for years allowed Emmanuel to embrace his newly civilized human side. Nevertheless, Emmanuel must go back to claim the position of clan chieftain, in order to rescue his sister who is being held captive by an enemy. Becoming chieftain also permits Emmanuel the opportunity to change the clan’s violent way of life. Because Tallin was changed into a werewolf, then rejected by his mate, Tallin would never be considered equal to Emmanuel in the eyes of the clan. Still, Emmanuel has always loved Tallin and views Tallin as an equal.

Darcy Abriel has created an outstanding extremely enjoyable saga.

Dragon shape-shifter Flair Coruscate is not pleased with the court protocol, the mode of his required attire or the other court customs. As the newly crowned king, Flair is at his wits end. That is until a royal ball resulted into Flair finding his true mate. Saber is everything Flair desires and more.

Once Upon a King is actually the second installment in the Once Upon series. The first installment, Once Upon a Dragon is offered as a free read on the author’s website. In Once Upon a King Flair understands the demands of being king and he is considerate of all the residents of his kingdom. However, the laws are woefully outdated plus immediate changes are desperately needed. Flair wishes for a mate who will not be intimidated by his royal status, especially in the bedroom. Destiny satisfied all of Flair’s dreams; Saber is the perfect mate for Flair. Saber never imagined that his journey to seek the king’s aid would end with him being the king’s mate. Before meeting Flair, Saber’s only aspiration as a human, living in the magical kingdom, was to continue being a good farmer.

Jambrea Jones has created an exceptional, as well as enjoyable, romantic comedy. I was particularly impressed with the hilarious interactions between the main and secondary characters along with the double insinuation dialogue.

Jenson’s moonshine business is a family tradition that started with his grandfather. However, being a werewolf started with Jenson. After a year of fine-tuning his life, yet another alteration is required when David, following a scent, mistakes Jenson as the cohort to the man who bit David. Jenson and David soon discover that not only do they have revenge in common, they are also mates.

Moon Shine is an amusing romance featuring life as a werewolf modification. Jenson shies away from relationships with humans fearing he might accidently bite them in the heat of passion, plus Jenson is not aware of any other werewolves residing in the Knoxville, Tennessee area. David is a Native American hunting guide in the Cherokee forest area. He is angry as well as confused by the internal changes to his body. David is seeking answers when he encounters Jenson. Both men were loners even before they were bitten, therefore finding each other is the best thing that could have happen to Jenson and David. What I found particularly enjoyable is the comical description of Jenson and David’s play in wolf form. Moon Shine is a happy-ever-after short story that leaves an opening for a continuance.
