Eligible females descended on the New York resort like hungry predators in search of fresh prey. Word had spread through the social circles that Ashton Armitage is seeking a wife. Mark Sintorella, referred to as Sinders, the hard working weird guy, does his best to stay under the radar at work while secretly designing women’s clothes at night. However, big shake-ups happen when Carstairs Pennymaker decides to do a little matchmaker.

Sinders And Ash is a wonderfully amusing, well-written romance with creditable characters. On the surface, Ash appears to be a shallow wealthy man with no real purpose in life. This was the opinion Sinders had before they actually met. Yet there is a depth to Ash few people are allowed to see. Ash is in-the-closet gay because his public and family status demands being what is considered acceptable by society. He’s intelligent, as well as considerate of the needs of others. Ash has no wish to marry a female; nevertheless he feels compelled to honor his grandfather’s wishes. Sinder is openly gay, talented and outspoken. He wears a disguise to discourage unwanted attention from bullies. Carstairs is a master at plotting; he aligns all the key players, set the stage then watches as the scenes develops into his desired plan.

Tara Lain has created a splendid heartwarming saga with sizzling lovemaking. Sinders And Ash is an extremely enjoyable happy-ever-after modern day fairytale.

The Four Horsemen Series

In life, Gatian Almasia cared only for his sister and his secret lover. After his lover died, Gatian had planned to seek solace for his misery by traveling the world. However, becoming the target of a revenge killing, Gatian awakens to find he has left the world of the living and must travel the world as the Pale Rider Death.

Death is the fourth book in The Four Horsemen Series. This is an amazing religious myth with a modern twist. Death is the one Horseman all mortals feared. Even when Death was the mortal Gatian, he was considered cold and uncaring. Nevertheless Pierre reminded Death of his long lost mortal lover, the only man Gatian ever loved. Unlike the other Horsemen, Death makes his home in Paris and enjoys modern technology. Pierre Fortescue is a self-loathing wealthy jetsetting heroin addict. Released only six weeks from his second stay at the rehab centre, Pierre goes on a heroin binge when he learns of the deception committed by his lover. Dying, it is Death who saves Pierre’s life.

T.A. Chase illustrates the down side of being rich; the impact wealth has on a person’s psychological health. Gatian and Pierre experienced a lack of trust, due to the greedy society they dealt with on a regular basis. Life taught both men that without trust, it is almost impossible to find real love, yet Gatian and Pierre finally managed to find the healing powers of love in each other. Death is an outstanding emotionally realistic saga that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Kibwe was sacrificed by his village shaman, not because the Gods demanded it to break the drought plaguing the village as the shaman proclaimed to the people, but by the manipulations of a jealous old man. The shaman wanted to be worshipped by the villagers and believed Kibwe, who had a stronger connection with the spirit world, kept the shaman from reaching his goal. However, Kibwe did not go to the expected afterlife; he became the Black Horseman Famine.

Famine is the third book in the Four Horsemen series. Famine spends most his time in Africa, spreading drought and starvation. His only solace from his unwanted duties is the brief visits to Victoria Falls, which always gives Famine a sense of peace. At twenty-eight, Ekundayo had been mining since he was ten. Hunger was a natural state for miners, working for the diamond companies. There never seemed to be enough water or food to go around. Because of malnutrition and the punishing work, his body was slowly breaking down. Ekundayo thought stealing the diamond was his only salvation.

Ekundayo and Famine share a common background. Both men are the victims of greedy men who will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. Ekundayo and Famine believe in the religion practiced in Africa before the arrival of European Christianity. Neither man had ever experienced love before.

T.A. Chase’s extremely enjoyable Famine illustrates a realistic view of world turmoil while contrasting the stark realities with a blend of humor provided by the bossy characters Death and Lam. Also exhibited are superb displays of the power of love.

Sandpipers Restaurant Chef Mark Carter is immediately attracted to the painfully shy Raven. A single parent, Raven has brought his young son for a visit with Brody’s little brother, Wolf. However, Mark is not the only one attracted; Raven is also sneaking peeks at Mark.

Raven's Mark is the second book in the superb Sandpipers Series. The characters are exceptionally creditable in this heartwarming episode. Mark, whose happy family life was torn apart with the death of his parents, is a neurotic perfectionist. Never having met a potential long-term partner, Mark throws everything he has into his new position at Sandpipers Restaurant. Meeting Raven and his son, Mark realizes he wants the three of them to be a family. However before Raven can have a relationship with Mark, Raven must first battle his demons into obedience. Haunted by his abusive past, Raven suffers panic attacks, as well as nervous stutters. Determined not to lose his son or Mark, Raven fights for the kind of life he has always wanted.

Jade Archer has created an amazing romance with compassionate characters. I thoroughly enjoyed Raven's Mark.

Russell Heinz is rescued by War when he was shot and barely hanging on to a cliff in Afghanistan. When Russell recovered from his wound, he returned to his army unit only to have two fellow soldiers die within feet of him. Again, the Red Horseman War comes to save Russell and in doing so, War is also saved.

War is book two in The Four Horsemen Series. In this well-written episode, Russell sought to escape his small hometown in Kansas rather than face possible homophobia. Even though the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell laws have changed, Russell remained in the closet around his comrades. Experiencing death first hand, Russell mind shuts down, causing him to be sent to a mental ward suffering from survivor’s guilt. War understands feeling guilty because he has centuries in that mindset. It takes divine intervention to prompt Russell and War to work towards letting go of the past along with closing the wounds.

T.A. Chase has created a fascinating romance derived from a fear-provoking religious theme. By illustrating the beauty of love, the purpose of War is featured as a necessity to redeem mortals from evil as well as preserving the balance between Heaven and Hell. War is an amazing plus exceedingly enjoyable realistic saga.
