Trained as a fighter pilot, Isaac Ozawa is the only Hermes crew member forcibly discharged from the military. A flawed implant operation has rendered Isaac too unstable to pilot a space ship. But as the communication officer for the Hermes, a non-military cargo ship, Isaac is a benefit. Especially in the search and rescue of Turk, a Corzin warrior who has been surgically enhanced by the military.

Gravitational Attraction is a hang-on-to-your-seat powerful action space adventure with a little romance on the side. The tough-as-nails characters are exceedingly convincing. The creative settings are partly in space and part on Turk’s home planet. From the moment Turk was rescued, Isaac felt an unexplained connection with the man and felt compelled to stay close. Turk also was feeling the invisible connection with Isaac. However, Turk recognizes that Isaac is his soul mate. Isaac and Turk’s hearts beat as one. They find peace and comfort only in each other’s arms. The whole plot is fascinating; I particularly enjoyed the characters’ good-natured verbal interactions, the illustration of honor, as well as the total acceptance of worthy people into the Corzin family units. Of course there must be a villain; in this plot it is a psychotic, sinister menace to everyone.

Angel Martinez has created a magnificent saga blending intense conflict, humor, poetic sensuality along with compassion. Gravitational Attraction is absolutely a must read for all M/M science fiction fans.

Human Leo Adams realizes he has a chance to escape the drug addict vampire who has kept Leo captive for months. Unfortunately, the vampire drug he was forcibly injected with is deadly to humans. Half dead, Leo stumbles into the alley behind the nightclub and falls unconscious into the arms of lion shifter Maddox.

Blood of a Leo is the first book in the Solomon's Pride Series. The plot is a vampire versus shifters action-adventure blended with shifter mating as well as a dash of humor. The characters are emotionally convincing. Leo is a gay man, disowned by his family and kidnapped by vampires to be a donor. Because Leo is able to endure the drugs forced upon him, he is especially valuable to vampire Mika, who discovered that by blending the drugs into his food source, Mika achieved a longer lasting high. Maddox is a very compassionate man whose cat side reminds me of a gentle playful kitten with Leo but a deadly enemy to anyone who threatens his mate or the pride. The steamy mating scenes are amazing.

Dawn H. Hawkes has produced a fantastic saga. I enjoyed Blood of a Leo immensely.

Chase Courtland is on a mission - to finally reveal his true feelings and seduce his best friend, Logan Moore. Chase has quietly watched Logan move from one failed relationship to another. For twelve years, Chase has loved as well as been Logan’s shoulder to cry on. Being away in Vegas for a year has been pure misery for Chase. A day before Chase is to move back to San Diego, he discovers that Logan confessed to loving Chase but was afraid to inform Chase for fear of rejection. Armed with this joyous news, Chase is more determined than ever to claim Logan’s heart.

Kissing Joan Collins is a well-written beautiful friends-to-lovers romance. The engaging characters are realistically mature, endowed with common sense. Logan is searching for a acceptable long term relationship. Secretly loving Chase, who has never expressed any feelings beyond friendship towards him, Logan attempts to find happiness with someone else. Chase never had a long-term relationship with any man because the only man he wanted that way was Logan. Chase and Logan are dealing with a double-edged sword. If either man tries for a relationship and fails, he is left broken-hearted, along with the loss of his best friend. Fortunately, both men are emotionally on the same page allowing happiness to overrule their insecurities.

Lex Valentine has created a spectacular saga blended with exquisite love scenes that lovingly melts your heart as well as other parts of the anatomy.

He Ain't Heavy by J.P. Bowie

Publisher: MLR Press
Genre: {M/M} Suspense
Rating: Golden Blush Award

Brad and Duncan McKinley had gone to visit their parents, to tell their father both of them are gay, but their confessions would never be spoken to their bigoted father, given that Brad and Duncan found their parents brutally murdered inside their Pasadena home.

He Ain't Heavy is a gripping tale profiling the mind of a deranged killer, the image of a conservative persona disguising the perverted minds of men obsessed with money, dirty cops as well as a miscarriage of justice by the penal system. In the pursuit of more wealth, out of control greed promotes the actions of fraud, embezzlement, bribery as well as being accomplices to murder. In the warped mentality of corrupted men, anyone obstructing their goals will be eliminated without consideration or remorse. With their parents’ death, life long family secrets kept from Duncan and Brad are revealed.

Brad and Duncan become innocent prey to those seeking access to the ill-gotten gains of their father. Although they were raised in a wealthy household, Brad and Duncan are not tainted by the influence of money. They established a publishing company in San Diego, independent of their father’s investments. Brad and Duncan have a special bond of love, respect as well as being emotionally caring by suppressing their true feelings from each other. Both are considerate men with an abundance of integrity.

Reading J.P. Bowie’s exceptionally clever excerpt, my first impression is that this is a sinister tale and it is with heart stopping action, psycho killers and mayhem. However, interwoven into this nail biting thriller are extraordinary intimate scenes in glorious detail. He Ain't Heavy is a thoroughly enjoyable happy ever after murder mystery romance.

Surviving the rough patches in their long term relationship, Kyler Christenson and Robbie Russo are on the road to more happiness when Kyler invents several exceptionally creative methods to express his love for and to Robbie.

Beautiful Harmony features the characters from Black Heart Down, a spinoff from the Conquest Series. Robbie is overjoyed by Kyler’s significant proof that the only true gift worth giving to another is the gift of love. Kyler and Robbie have loved each other since high school, although it has only been recently that Kyler could openly communicate his feelings for Robbie. Finally out in the open, Kyler does exceedingly well in demonstrating his true personality to Robbie, both in spectacular examples of intimacy in addition to other marvelous illustrations of affection.

S.J. Frost’s characters’ update encourages smiling, warm tingles, moments of awe as well as the urge to cheer. I thoroughly enjoyed Beautiful Harmony.

Marlowe Shelby Weldon is celebrating his twenty first birthday with a party. Guests include family, friends and Marlowe’s cousin’s new neighbor, Angelo Linford. There is an attraction between them, however Marlowe is gay looking for a boyfriend and Angelo is merely looking for a friend.

Angels on Top is an amazing upbeat story. From the beginning, I was impressed by the hilarious banter. Yet humor is not the sum total of the plot. The storyline exhibits admirable examples of emotional turmoil, in addition to mental abuse. Angelo’s parents, especially his father, are fanatical control freaks. Angelo was not allowed to have his own opinions or make his own choices. Sadly this is a reality for many people. Being raised in a homophobic environment, Angelo has problems recognizing his feelings for Marlowe as love beyond friendship. Angelo had the painful task of retraining his mind to observe himself and others without gender labels, also to accept that love is love, no matter what their sexual characteristics are. Openly gay Marlowe desperately tries to present a smiling face to the world while hiding his unreciprocated love for Angelo. Marlowe’s fantasy is to find someone who can love him for who he is.

N.J. Nielsen’s Angels on Top is a beautiful happily-ever-after saga. The splendid characters are thoroughly enjoyable, inspiring a warm and comfy sensation around the region of the heart.
