Being a good parent to his son Mikey is a challenge for Trey Damone, especially since they must live in a hush-hush environment. Nevertheless, meeting Jeremiah Crawford holds the promise of finally bringing some much needed happiness into Trey and Crawford’s lives.

Chance Met is a Valentine short story and part of Real Werewolves Don't Eat Meat series. Trey and Mikey first appeared in Hummus On Rye. Jeremiah Crawford is a new character. Trey and Mikey moved to Boston, thinking they had found a safe haven for Mikey. However, Trey was bitten by a werewolf shortly after they moved into their new apartment. Now Trey and Mikey are protected members of the Boston North Pack. Because of his psychic abilities, it is Mikey who first recognized that Crawford is trustworthy as well as attracted to Trey. With Mikey’s encouragement, Trey and Crawford share a first date Valentine dinner with a little intimacy afterward.

Chance Met is a heartwarming and enjoyable saga that opens the door for more of Trey, Mikey and Crawford in future episodes.

Wolf shifter Connor Strand had never questioned the integrity of the council before tracking down murder suspect vampire Micah Jamieson. The encounter with Micah, as well as the time spent in his presence, leads Connor to believe this case is actually an ominous scheme of manipulation. As more evidence begins to surface, Connor and Micah realize they are both victims.

The Vampire Contract is the first book in the Supernatural Bounty Hunters series. The intriguing plot features Micah and Connor, who are on a mission to discover the council members behind the murder indictment. The characters are engaging. Connor is a bounty hunter who prides himself in doing a good job. Connor always assumed charges brought against suspects were justified. Being an honest man, it did not occur to him that corruption in the government was a possibility. Although Connor had doubts, his wolf side decided Micah is innocent, in addition to being Connor’s chosen mate. Micah is an intelligent compassionate man who refused to follow the vampire traditions of his heritage. Micah’s chosen career was a teacher before he became a pawn for the council.
RJ Scott has created an exceptionally humorous saga. I particularly enjoyed the argumentative interaction between Connor and Micah. However, the passionate attraction between them is clearly illustrated.

Snow Leopard Wesley Ward resented being sent to live with his older brother until Wes discovered his mate Armando, another volunteer at the LGBT youth shelter. Both Wes and Armando had issues they were struggling to overcome. Acknowledging they were mates helped both men tear down the barriers surrounding their hearts.

Wesley is the eighth book in the Leopard’s Spots series. This episode illustrates the physical, as well as, emotional damage inflicted upon gay youths by the homophobic extremist. Having experienced emotional pain in their own lives, Wes and Armando could easily relate to the young men and women at the shelter. When one of the residents is kidnapped and taken to a brainwashing boot camp, Wes, Armando and an unknown shifter were determined to rescue the youth. Also featured is the developing romance between Wes and Armando.

Wesley is an impressive and enjoyable addition to this series, which is best read in sequence.

Reader Advisory: This book contains references to sexual assault in the past.

Research is essential for college professor Wesley, not only for the class he teaches, it is also essential for the book he is writing. However, someone has hired Jack to stop the progress of Wesley’s research. Fortunately for Wesley, Jack chose not to follow through with the job he was hired to do.

Charming Monsters is a dark short story. The plot is an unforeseen psychological mystery. The standard line between good and evil is distorted to the point that the reader cannot immediately identify the monster. Wesley and Jack are both obsessed with fear, pain and brutal murders. The story exhibits rape, as well as torture. Overall, I enjoyed the building suspense illustrated.

It was an accident, although Gavin Montgomery’s family was not fully convinced. Police rescue diver Jamie Donnigan also had doubts until Jamie and Gavin developed an insecure friendship with benefits.

Bad Attitude is the third book in the Bad in Baltimore series. The plot centers around two men afraid to show their true emotions. Gavin is part of the idle rich crowd, born into money with no purpose or goals. Gavin follows whatever his family and friends expect of him, rather than make his own decisions. Gavin has learned to blend into the background at gatherings so he can escape unnoticed. All of Jamie’s issues at his workplace as well as his personal life are because of his negative attitude. Jamie is so grounded in having a self-protective personality, he did not recognize the budding love he felt for Gavin.

K. A. Mitchell has created an amusing barely friends who become lovers saga that I enjoyed greatly.

Doctor Zach Harliegh realized there was something different about Raven Sanderson, however by the time he learned the truth, it was already too late because Zach was well on his way to falling in love with Raven.

They Walk Among Us is an intriguing blend of mystery, action and romance. Everyone is on a mission; some of the missions are more complex than others. Zach was part of a rebel group but he did not completely trust them. Like many people, Zach did not believe the publicized propaganda, so he did his own studies as well as formed his own opinions. Because of his knowledge acquired over the years regarding the aliens, Zach was constantly hounded by the government who wanted him to join their research team.

Raven is more than he appears to be to the humans. He has capabilities the human population could never imagine. Upon first meeting Zach, Raven thought only to enlist Zach’s aid for his mission, yet the more time Raven spent with Zach, Raven began to realize he and Zach could possibly have a future together.

T. A. Chase has created an impressive and enjoyable saga that illustrates the fears in addition to the perverted mentalities in a large number of the populace. They Walk Among Us exhibits the message of that which we fear, we try to destroy.

As Marines, Lieutenant Lucas Young and Sergeant Noah Hammond have something in common; protect and serve duty first attitudes. However, Lucas is human with little knowledge regarding the needs of werewolves. Fortunately for Lucas, Alpha werewolf Noah joins the unit. Before long, Lucas and Noah become a legend in the midst of the military forces, not merely because of their fighting abilities but because of the special bond Lucas and Noah share.

The Strength of the Pack is the first book in The Tameness of the Wolf series.
This is an impressive plot featuring life in the military. What I found particularly fascinating are the American werewolf soldiers in combat with Middle Eastern werewolf soldiers. The characters are remarkable. I am especially fond of Noah, who exhibits authoritative yet self-controlled rule over the pack. As the Alpha, Noah insures that no werewolf is left behind during their full moon runs or in combat. With Lucas, Noah is temperate as well as tolerant. Noah teaches Lucas the importance of touching. Having had no training dealing with werewolves prior to Noah joining the unit, Lucas is often confused by his feelings for Noah. Nevertheless, Lucas slowly begins to comprehend the strong personal connection he has with Noah.

Kendall McKenna has created an exceptional saga that I enormously enjoyed. The storyline illustrates war zone action along with military dialog, heartwarming characters that are sometimes amusing as well as being incredibly endearing.
